Budget Committee (House)

The United States House Committee on the Budget, commonly known as the House Budget Committee, is a standing committee of the United States House of Representatives. Its responsibilities include legislative oversight of the federal budget process, reviewing all bills and resolutions on the budget, and monitoring agencies and programs funded outside of the budgetary process. The committee briefly operated as a select committee in 1919 and 1921, during the 66th and 67th United States Congresses, before being made a standing committee in 1974.

District: upper midwestern portion of the state of Texas. The district includes portions of the State from Lubbock to Abilene. 
Next Election

History: Arrington was a member of George W. Bush’s gubernatorial and presidential administrations. He was named appointments manager for Governor Bush in 1996. In 2000, he was appointed Special Assistant to the President and Associate Director of Presidential Personnel. In December 2001, Donald E. Powell, the 18th chairman of the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation, hired Arrington as the agency’s chief of staff.

Arrington returned to his alma mater, Texas Tech University, as its system chief of staff and later as vice chancellor for research and commercialization. Until his election to Congress, Arrington was the president of Scott Laboratories in Lubbock.

Brian Timothy Jack (born February 17, 1988) is an American political advisor and politician and who served as White House Political Director under President Donald Trump from 2019 to 2021 and as a senior advisor on Donald Trump’s 2024 presidential campaign.

Early in his career, Jack worked at the Republican National Committee (RNC) and the American Israel Public Affairs Committee (AIPAC). During the 2016 Republican primary, Jack worked on Ben Carson’s presidential campaign before joining Trump’s campaign. After Trump was elected, Jack worked in the presidential transition of Donald Trump.

Maxine Dexter OR-03

Maxine Elizabeth Dexter (née Johnson, born December 5, 1972) is an American physician and politician who served as a member of the Oregon House of Representatives from 2020 to 2024. A member of the Democratic Party, she was appointed in June 2020 after the death of Mitch Greenlick. She formerly represented the 33rd district, which covers the Northwest District and Northwest Heights of Portland, as well as Cedar Mill, Oak Hills, and most of Bethany.

On November 5, 2024, Dexter was elected to the United States House of Representatives representing Oregon’s 3rd district.

Mike Kennedy UT-03

Michael Steven Kennedy (born February 2, 1969) is an American physician, attorney, and politician. He has served as a Republican member of the Utah Senate, representing District 21 since 2023. Prior to redistricting he represented District 14 starting in 2021.

He previously served as a member of the Utah House of Representatives from 2013 to 2019. Kennedy was a candidate in the 2018 U.S. Senate election in Utah. He received the most votes at the Utah State Republican Convention but was defeated by Mitt Romney in the subsequent primary for the Republican nomination.
