INFLATION

Congressman D’Esposito has stood up to Joe Biden and the Democrats in Congress to hold the line on federal spending.  After inflation reached a 40-year high because of the $6 trillion in new spending under the Biden Administration, Congressman D’Esposito has held Biden accountable to prevent the continuation of the Democrats’ failed economic policies.  Before his election in 2022, Anthony D’Esposito cut or froze taxes in the last four budgets he passed as a member of the Hempstead Town Board.

PUBLIC SAFETY

Congressman D’Esposito is a retired NYPD Detective who made more than 600 arrests in connection with murders, shootings, assaults, bribery, and possession of illegal weapons. After making public safety the centerpiece of his campaign, Congressman D’Esposito was appointed to the House Homeland Security Committee and has been a champion for law enforcement in Congress.  He has opposed liberal policies that make it more difficult for police officers to do their jobs and delivered millions of dollars in federal funding for Nassau County law enforcement and new equipment.

NATIONAL SECURITY

The world is safest when America is strongest.  Congressman D’Esposito believes in Ronald Reagan’s adage of Peace through Strength, which begins by showing leadership on a global stage that puts America’s safety and security first. It also means that America’s military remains the world’s most elite and powerful fighting force. In the House of Representatives, Congressman D’Esposito has ensured that our brave men and women in uniform have the funding, equipment, and support they need if and when they must defend our freedom.

ENERGY INDEPENDENCE

Every American should have access to high-quality, affordable health care, including individuals with pre-existing conditions. Congressman D’Esposito believes in strengthening the employer-provided health insurance system and the social safety net and investing in our local hospital systems. Congressman D’Esposito has defended the Social Security and Medicare programs that seniors rely upon. He will continue working to ensure that federal healthcare policy empowers patients to make their own healthcare decisions, lowers the cost of prescription medications, and protects the most vulnerable. To protect our economy and our healthcare system, Congressman D’Esposito adamantly opposes a government takeover of our healthcare system—costing trillions of dollars and controlling Americans’ personal medical decisions.

HEALTHCARE

America is a nation of immigrants, but we are also a nation of laws, and Anthony D’Esposito spent his career proudly enforcing those laws. As a House Homeland Security Committee member, Congressman D’Esposito helped draft the Secure the Border Act, the most robust law ever proposed to combat illegal immigration. Congressman D’Esposito has also opposed New York City’s failed sanctuary and “Right to Shelter” policies that have fueled New York’s migrant crisis. By securing our borders, we will also help stop the drug trade, gang violence, and human trafficking from invading our communities. As a decorated law enforcement officer, Anthony D’Esposito understands first-hand the impact this can have on our community. He is working each day to end the Open Borders policies implemented by Joe Biden and Congressional Democrats.

As a member of Congress and a Hempstead Town Councilman, Anthony D’Esposito has delivered millions of dollars in funding for local schools and libraries.

TAXES AND ECONOMY

Congressman D’Esposito is working to grow our economy and create opportunities for good paying, family-sustaining jobs in Nassau County, while easing the burden on families.  As our voice in the House of Representatives, Congressman D’Esposito has led the fight against Governor Hochul’s $1 billion Congestion Pricing Tax that will cost commuters $4,000 each year just to travel to work.  He also forced a House vote on his plan to restore the State and Local Tax (SALT) deduction to provide real relief for Nassau County taxpayers.  Prior to his election in 2022, Anthony D’Esposito cut or froze taxes in each of the last four budgets he passed as a member of the Hempstead Town Board.

ISRAEL

The United States and Israel share a special bond that must always be protected, and America must stand shoulder-to-shoulder with Israel to ensure the safe return of hostages and the destruction of Hamas following the horrific attack on October 7, 2023.  As a Congressman and a member of the House Homeland Security Committee, Anthony D’Esposito has traveled to Israel multiple times and met with key Israeli officials to discuss strengthening military cooperation between the United States and Israel, including the continuation of foreign aid for security assistance and defense programs, to ensure the safety and security of Israel against the threat posed by Iran and its terrorist proxies.
